Developers Certification for Sage ACT!

Is this right for me?

Certification for Sage ACT! Developer will lapse over time, but will be determined by new software release enhancements. You will be invited to update your skills and sit the latest exam. Certifications must be updated within 6 months of a new software release in order to remain valid.

The fundamentals of the ACT! Architecture

Integrating with Sage ACT!
Using the Framework to connect and interact with an ACT! Database.

Customising Sage ACT!
Creating plugins to customise and interact with the Sage ACT! UI
Creating Custom Controls

In each of the topics, you can expect to be asked to:

• Complete sections of code
• Identify the effect of code snippets

Please note: To sit this exam, you must be an active member of the Sage Developers’ Programme at the Small Business Developer level.

Work towards gaining Accredited Sage ACT! Developer status, awarded if you achieve all Sage Certification levels required:

Your status as an accredited Sage ACT! Developer enables your business to gain competitive advantage, by demonstrating knowledge and proficiency in Sage software development

Recommended hardware

• An IBM®-compatible computer with a 2GHz (or equivalent) processor
• At least 1GB RAM
• At least 600MB of free disk space after Microsoft® Windows has been installed
• Network users only: 1Gbps network with Microsoft Windows networking

Minimum hardware

• An IBM-compatible computer with a 1GHz (or equivalent) processor
• 512MB RAM
• 400MB of free disk space after Microsoft Windows has been installed
• Network users only: 100Mbps network with Microsoft Windows networking

Performance will be improved with higher specification computers and networks.

Works with Microsoft Office 2000 and all later editions.

This product will not install or run on the Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows NT4 operating systems.

One of the following operating systems:

• Windows Server 2003
• Windows XP (Recommended)
• Windows Vista
