Developers Certification for Sage 50 Accounts

Certification for Sage 50 Accounts Developer is based on the Sage 50 Accounts Software Development Kit (SDK) and consists of an online exam that is delivered over the Internet, straight to your computer.

This hour-long examination consists of exercises and multiple-choice questions. For added convenience, you can choose to sit the exam whenever you feel ready to take it.

Is this right for me?

Certification for Sage 50 Accounts Developer will lapse over time, but will be determined by new software release enhancements. You will be invited to update your skills and sit the latest exam. Certifications must be updated within 6 months of a new software release in order to remain valid.

Sage Data Objects (SDO) & Business Objects
Using the SDK to connect, read and write to the Sage 50 Accounts database

Application Object
Controlling the Sage 50 Accounts User Interface (U. I.)

In each of the topics, you can expect to be asked to:

  • Write or complete sections of code
  • Describe the effect of code
  • Explain what is wrong or missing
  • Describe how to complete given tasks

Please note: To sit this exam, you must be an active member of the Sage Developers’ Programme at the Small Business Developer level.

Recommended hardware

  • An IBM®-compatible computer with a 2GHz (or equivalent) processor
  • At least 1GB RAM
  • At least 600MB of free disk space after Microsoft® Windows has been installed
  • Network users only: 1Gbps network with Microsoft Windows networking

Minimum hardware

  • An IBM-compatible computer with a 1GHz (or equivalent) processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 400MB of free disk space after Microsoft Windows has been installed
  • Network users only: 100Mbps network with Microsoft Windows networking

Performance will be improved with higher specification computers and networks.

Works with Microsoft Office 2000 and all later editions.

This product will not install or run on the Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows NT4 operating systems.

One of the following operating systems:

  • Windows Server 2003
  • Windows XP (Recommended)
  • Windows Vista

Please make sure that you have the latest Microsoft updates installed.

Please note: It is not possible to install multiple copies of this product on a single computer.
